Tashkent, Jan 31 (Prensa Latina) Uzbekistan and Russia analyzed the possibility of setting up a new trade route to the countries of Southeast and South Asia via Afghanistan, the Ministry of Transportation reported.
The two governments exchanged views on the potential of the Russia-Kazakhstan-Uzbekistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan multimodal corridor connecting Russia with Southeast and South Asia, the source said.
The delegates of Uzbekistan and Russia also agreed to continue the discussion of these possible new trade routes with the aim of increasing international transport of goods.
Uzbekistan and Russia also outlined ways to deepen and extend bilateral cooperation to other fields, the information said.
